Antonio Damian Lua

Antonio Damian Lua, 85 años, de Port Arthur, Texas, falleció el domingo 28 de mayo de 2023. Antonio nació en Cotija de la Paz, Michoacán, México, hijo de María de Jesús y Encarnación Damian Lua.

He grew up working the fields and helping his father dig wells by hand with shovels. In the early 1960's he met and married his wife, Josefina, and together they raised 5 children. In search for a better life, he applied for the Brazeno program and migrated to the United States.

El recibió muy poco estudio porque tuvo que ayudar con la cosecha y ayudar a su padre a escarbar norias a mano. En los 60's el conoció a Josefina. Los dos se casaron y tuvieron 5 hijos. En búsqueda de una mejor vida, el migró a los Estados Unidos.

He was a well travelled man who loved adventure and lived in many places, from Tijuana, Mexico to San Diego, California in search of construction jobs he was skilled in. In the 1970's he found an opportunity in Texas, moving there with his family.

El vivió en varias ciudades, incluyendo Tijuana, Mexico y San Diego, California. Antonio viajó mucho durante este tiempo y finalmente en los 70's decidió de permanecer en Texas con su familia hasta el presente.

Antonio was a good, hardworking man who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He will be missed by all his family and friends.

Antonio fue un buen hombre muy trabajador y disfrutaba que lo visiten sus nietos y atender eventos de su familia. Va ser muy extrañado por toda su familia y amigos.

A Celebration of Life for Antonio will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th St, Port Arthur, Texas 77642.
