

Ardus Keddy, 85, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, after an automobile accident in San Augustine, Texas. He was born August 10, 1925, in Carencro, Louisiana to Clay and Claudia Keddy and had lived in Port Arthur for the past 66 years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, French Cajun Music Association, OCAW, VFW, coached kid’s baseball for 28 years and was also the former owner of Party Kegs & Keddy’s Liquor. He retired from Texaco after 37 years of service as a machinist.
Ardus is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lucille Keddy; sons, Karl Keddy and wife, Donna of Port Acres and Greg Keddy and his two former wives, Cheryl & Joyce; daughter, Marla Martin and husband, Jim of Houston; brother, Ronald Keddy and wife, Cyl of Carencro; brother-in-law, Sydney Benton and wife, Tonya; six grandchildren, Tammy, Ross, Angela, Dustin, Brett and Amber and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marylyn Allemand and daughter-in-law, Debbie Rachal Keddy.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, July 1, 2011, from 4 p.m., until 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 5 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011, at 10 a.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Stephen McCrate officiating.
