Arlie Estes, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Goliad, Texas, and lived a life marked by service, faith, and deep devotion to those he loved.
Arlie proudly served his country in the United States Army, including a tour in Vietnam. Following his military service, he built a long career in the petrochemical industry, working many years at BASF. He was also a devoted and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where his faith and fellowship were central to his life.
Arlie was first married to Margaret, with whom he shared many years and raised three children: Michael, Brandi, and Curtis.
Later in life, Arlie married his forever companion, Elizabeth Margaret McCreary, and together they built a loving blended family. Their home was open and welcoming, and their children include Michael, Brandi, Curtis, Kimberly, Dawn, Paula, Cassandra, Angela, David, and Chasity. He was preceded in death by Elizabeth, Cassandra, Michael, and Brandi, and is survived by Curtis, Kimberly, Dawn, Paula, Angela, David and Chasity.
He is also survived by his beloved sister, Lola, and her husband, Nick.
Arlie leaves behind a large and cherished family, including many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward his memory, lessons, and love.
He will be remembered for his service to his country, his dedication to his work, his faith, and most of all, the steadfast love he gave to his family.
Funeral services will be held at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home on September 22nd 2025, with burial to follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park in Port Arthur, Texas.
