Chien Van Bui

Chien Van Bui, 77, of Port Arthur, TX passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Chien was born in Vietnam on September 3, 1937. Mr. Bui was family oriented and was a hard worker. Chien along with his wife, Mau raised seven children. Orphaned at a young age Chien went back to Vietnam after 40 years in search of his biological family. He helped with different charities such as the Priesthood and Convents.

Chien was preceded in death by his son, Chau Joe Bui. He is survived by his wife, Mau Tran; children, Adam Thang Bui, Becky Hoa Bui, Eddie Thanh Bui, Bill Minh Bui, Asan Bui and Linda Bui. Mr. Bui also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren to cherish his memories.

Visitation for Mr. Bui will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and again Friday, August 28, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
