D. Coleen Lee

Dorothy Coleen Lee, 82, of Beaumont, TX passed away Friday, December 12, 2014. Coleen was born August 26, 1932 in Tupelo, MS to Kirby and Lavelle King. She married Edward James Lee, Sr. May 5, 1951 and had four beautiful children. Coleen often traveled with her husband while he was in the Coast Guard and no matter where she lived, Coleen made sure she joined a church. She was very family oriented and active in church; teaching Sunday school, vacation bible study, and she sang in the choir. Coleen enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. She loved to cook and never met a stranger.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Kirby King, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Edwards James Lee, Sr.; children, Sandi Cummings and husband Frank, Edward James Lee, Jr., Donna Lee, Gwen Brehm Schlei and husband Mike; and brother, Gary Powell King (Pam). Grandchildren include, Cristen Alicea (Gilbert), Jeffrey Gimenez, Derek Brehm (Karen), Michael Brehm (Jaime), Carolyn Brehm and Jacob Lee; great-grandchildren, Helen and Alice Brehm.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Memorial Baptist Church, 4011 Memorial Blvd., Port Arthur, TX 77640. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598.
