Dodie was born on January 21, 1944, in Ransom, Illinois. Throughout her life, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and cherished friend. She was known for her warmth, kindness, strength, and her unwavering dedication to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and countless cherished memories.
Dodie worked as a lab technician for over 40 years. She enjoyed her work and was adored by her many patients.
She is survived by her two children, Dana Wagenhauser and husband, Kenneth Wagenhauser, of Austin, Texas, and Cody Oliver and wife, Cheri Oliver, of Bridge City, Texas; and two grandsons, Garrett and Colton Oliver.
Dodie is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, John “Buddy” Oliver, as well as her parents, siblings and numerous family members.
Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur, Texas, with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
