Elfert Tete Robicheaux

Elfert Tete (E.T) Robicheaux, 85 left his earthly home and entered into the Gates of Heaven on Thursday August 25, 2022 in Katy, TX. We are saddened and yet we rejoice in knowing he is healthy and whole again. He was born in Jeanerette, Louisiana on September 4, 1936. Tete moved to Port Arthur with his family in 1947. He married his sweetheart and love of his life Barbara Rollinson in 1955.

He loved to hunt, fish, golf, bowl and play scrabble. He also reveled in every family event, party or celebration. Tete and Barbara were members of St. Catherine of Siena parish in Port Arthur from 1955 to 2017. Tete served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Catherine and served in many clubs, societies and functions for the church. Tete and Barbara moved to Katy TX after Hurricane Harvey to be closer to family.

Tete was a man of great faith and integrity. The youngest of his siblings he is now united with all of them and his parents as he was preceded in death by his parents Gustave Robicheaux and Lester Ann Leger, his three brothers Francis D. Robicheaux of Groves TX, Paul Robicheaux of Port Arthur TX, Gus J. Robicheaux Jr. of Groves TX, his three sisters Sylvia Guardia of Jeanerette Louisiana, Marie Amato of Port Arthur, Thecla Ann Broussard of Port Arthur.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Barbara Robicheaux and their four children David Robicheaux and his wife Cindy of Cypress TX, Douglas Robicheaux and his wife Christine of Conroe TX, Trudy Dapprich and her husband Jeff of North Richland Hills TX, Brian Robicheaux and his wife Joan of Kerrville TX, 11 grandchildren Danny Robicheaux, Justin Robicheaux, Jeanne Hill, Kit Dapprich, Cole Dapprich, Kyle Dapprich, Jessica Crow, Hannah Bostick, Madeline Robicheaux, Eric Robicheaux and Emily Robicheaux and 12 great grandchildren Brady, Liam, Hazel, Jackie, Maeve, Austin, Travis, Jorah, Ellis, Naidene, Malcolm, Lyndon with 3 more on the way.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be on Wednesday August 31, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00PM with the Recitation of The Holy Rosary beginning at 7:30PM at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Thursday September 1, 2022. Tete will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
