Francisco Gonzalez, 75, of Port Neches passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Mr. Gonzalez was born October 4, 1942 to Abel and Thomasa Gonzalez. Francisco was a member of Iglesia Del Pueblo in Groves and was always there to help out. Just as Mr. Gonzalez was devoted to his church, he was devoted to his family. He enjoyed telling jokes, shopping, visiting with family, drinking coffee and eating donuts. He was a kind hearted person and was always there to give advice.
Francisco retired from St. Mary’s Hospital in Port Arthur after many years of serving as a security officer.
Francisco is survived by his loving wife, Elva Gonzalez; children, Suleika, Nina, Ozhny, Maria, Francisco Gonzalez, Jr., Enoc Gonzalez and Joshua Gonzalez; brothers, Abel Gonzalez, Jr., and Carlos Gonzalez; and sister, Margarita Salcedo. Mr. Gonzalez also leaves behind numerous grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives to cherish his memories.
A gathering of friends and relatives will he held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 7:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home.
