Frank Jones Jr., a resilient man, passed away on January 18, 2026, at the age of 69. He was born on March 25, 1956, in Jeanerette, Louisiana, and was a proud resident of Port Arthur, Texas for more than 50 years.
Frank’s early life was marked by challenges that required him to learn independence and survival at a young age. These formative experiences shaped his strength and perseverance. Despite these hardships, Frank was a devoted man whose love for his children and grandchildren was deep and enduring, expressed in his own unique way.
Frank found great joy in cooking and barbecuing, working on his vehicles, and riding his bicycle. His faith was central to his life; he loved Jesus and cherished time spent reading his Bible. For many years, Frank faithfully served at his local church, sharing his faith through meaningful discussions with family. His infectious laugh could light up any room, often making him the life of the party. He cherished trips to Louisiana to visit family and was known as a good-hearted and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Frank is survived by his sons, Frank Jones III and Brent Lee Logan, and his daughter, Tiffany Jones. He also leaves behind his brothers, Herman Ray Jones, Arthur Lee Jones, Kelvin Jones, Dynell Jones, and Mark Jones, and his sister, Glenda Jones Cunningham. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Noah Gabriel Jones, Isabella Grace Jones, Yasmine Taylor Malveaux, and Thurel Joseph Malveaux Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Jones Sr. and Emma Dell West Jones.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on January 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, located at 4841 39th St., Port Arthur, Texas 77642. A Celebration of Frank’s Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Celebration of Life Room at the same location, followed by a catered reception to share food, fellowship, and cherished memories of Frank.
Frank’s life was a true testament to resilience, faith, and perseverance. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
