George Lucius Duhon, 101, of Port Arthur passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011, at Port Arthur Community Center. George was born October 30, 1910, in Abbeville, Louisiana to David and Norma Duhon and had lived in Port Arthur all of his life.
George was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Duhon and grandson, Cornel Labure.
He is survived by his daughters, Beverly McCready and Georgia Davidson; son-in-law, Lindsey Davidson; grandchildren, Lyndi Guidry, Lauri Tarango, Coy Labure, Lisa Guidry, Leslie Guidry, Cayne Labure and Curt Labure; 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 3 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, November 14, 2011, at St. Peters Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Msgr. Kenneth Greig officiating.
