George loved watching western movies, rodeos, golf, his beloved Dallas Cowboys, watching football and fishing. But the time he enjoyed the most was with his two grandsons Wyatt and Wade. As a young person growing up, he used to enjoy boxing, working at the ranch and riding horses. He was very close to his brothers and sisters and would attend all their sporting events.
He is preceded in death by his parents George and Epifanio; his sisters, Christina Castaneda and her husband Frank, Alvina Cadena and her husband Manuel, and Chavela Diaz and her husband Gilbert; his brothers Jesse Sandoval and his wife Velmarie, Juan Sandoval and his wife Natalia, Paul Sandoval and his wife Tilley, Joe Sandoval and his wife Bertha, and Pete Sandoval.
George is survived by his wife Rose Marie Diaz Sandoval, his daughter Mary “Toni” Givan, his son George Sandoval III, his two grandchildren Wyatt Givan and Wade Fontenot. His sister Elaine LeBlanc and her husband Jose, his sister-in-law Linda Sandoval and a large group of Nieces, Nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of George’s life will take place in Crane, TX on August 15, 2026 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with a Rosary at 10:15 and a church mass to follow at 11:00. Burial will immediately follow at the Crane Memorial Cemetery.
