Helen Bernice Rothman, 83, of Port Arthur, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011, at Magnolia Manor in Groves. She was born on December 31, 1927, in Port Arthur to the late Carl and Lydia Malke. She was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur.
She was a homemaker and her hobbies included collecting porcelain cats, bells and was an avid photographer. She can be best described as a person who was always well organized and meticulous.
A gathering of her family and friends will begin on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 2 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 4 p.m., at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband Elmer Rothman.
She is survived by her nephews, Michael and his wife Nancy Malke of Sugar Land, Kevin Malke of Dallas, Mark Malke of Rincon, GA., and a great nephew Jared Malke of Sugar Land.
