Born in Mexico to her beloved parents, Blasa Olivo and Jesus Figueroa, Hilda brought warmth, love, and creativity into the lives of everyone she met. She later made her home in Port Arthur, where she built a beautiful life with her husband and soulmate, Leonardo. Together, they raised two daughters, who were the pride and joy of her heart.
Hilda’s love for her family was the center of her world. She found deep joy in her faith and was a devoted member of her church community. She was known for her kindness, her generosity, and the way she humbly served others—often behind the wheel of the church van, ensuring others could find their way to worship.
An exceptional cook, Hilda expressed her love through her food. Her pineapple pie became a treasured family favorite, and her Christmas tamales were more than a tradition—they were a symbol of togetherness and celebration.
She was a creative spirit, full of life and color. Hilda once owned her own piñata shop, where her passion for crafting shone brightly. She loved her garden and her plants, tending to them with care and patience that mirrored her gentle soul.
Among her greatest joys were her grandchildren, whom she loved deeply. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the scent of something delicious baking in the oven.
Hilda will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her nurturing heart, and the joyful energy she brought into every room. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and sweet memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
