Jacqueline Mary Gotto Roberts

Jacqueline Mary Gotto Roberts, 78, of Port Arthur passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015, surrounded by her family. Jacqueline was born May 10, 1936 in Port Arthur, TX. She attended St. Mary’s, Franklin, and Woodrow Wilson Schools. Jacqueline attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, crafting, working puzzles and word searches. She loved her dog “Scooter” and was a loving mother and wife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick Gotto and Laura DeCoux Gotto; daughter, Terrie Lynn Roberts; brothers, Howard Cruthirds and Jack Gotto.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years VJ Roberts, Sr., son, VJ Roberts, Jr., and wife Joanie of Port Acres; daughters Laura Roberts of Port Arthur and Rita Jordan and husband Michael of Greenville, TX. Mrs. Roberts also leaves behind 7 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren to cherish her memories.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Roberts will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
