JoAnn Weber, age 88, of Groves, Texas passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 in Groves. Mrs. Weber a native of Port Arthur was a homemaker and a parishioner of Immaculate Conception - St. Peter the Apostle Parish.
JoAnn was devoted to God and her Family . She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Parish and served in several ministries.
She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers and taking care of her flower beds. She was an excellent cook !! She made a wonderful gumbo and always made sure she had two pots , one with okra and one without for those of her children and grandchildren that did not like okra. There were many fun times at the lake house and their beach house with her family where she would always make her famous big red ice cream.
In her granddaughters words “When I think of the words patient, faith- filled, giving, kind, and beautiful, I instantly think of my grandmother. Otherwise, known to her grandchildren as "Granny Jo." I think all of her grandchildren can attest to the fact that she and our Paw Paw Boug made our childhood the best it could possibly be.”
Granny Jo was the type of grandmother who was always there. coming to recitals, sporting events, and birthday parties. She showed up to graduations, countless bridal and baby showers, weddings, and more for her grandchildren and even great grandchildren, and always with the biggest smile on her face. I don’t remember her ever missing a special event. At the sporting events she would cheer for the Indians, Bulldogs, and the Bobcats, whichever one she had grandchildren playing. Granny never left us guessing how proud she was of us, whether she was telling us verbally or showing us by her great big hugs and kisses.
She thought of us even on the small holidays, and loved to brings gifts and notes to show that she cared and that she was thinking of us. She truly thought about every little detail to make us feel loved.
She was the perfect example of a strong , loving Christian woman
Survivors include her husband Wilson Weber, Jr.; her children and their spouses. Tim (Pam) Weber, Wilson (Andi) Weber III, Rhonda (Mark) Walker and Karen (Damon) Judice and a sister, Betty LeBlanc. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
