

Joseph was born on December 9, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas to Julius and Rosa Lee Hebert. He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 4 years and was a retired Quality Control Inspector. He had been a resident of Buna for 4 years after moving from Channelview, Texas. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, visiting with friends and especially playing with his grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Rosa Hebert, and two sisters Willie Mae Dore' and June Rose Scrofne.
His survivors include his wife, Nancy Goode Hebert of Buna, Texas; son, Bryan Hebert of Houston, Texas; stepson, Roy Goode and wife Terry of Highlands, Texas; daughter, Teri Dusold and husband Phil of San Francisco, CA; stepdaughter, Patsy Frederick and husband Robert of Groves, Texas; a brother, Edwin Hetzel and wife Carolyn of Port Arthur, Texas; sisters, Dorathy Thigpen of Nederland, Texas, Hallie Bennett of Galveston, Texas, Chatherine Schmidt of League City, Texas and Melba Faye Wolf and husband Alton of Groves, Texas; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A Memorial service has been scheduled for Monday, January 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel in Port Arthur, Texas. A family and friends reception will follow the memorial at The Knights of Columbus Hall located at 3749 Lincoln Ave. Groves, Texas.
