To Betty, Danny, Paul and all your children, grandchildren, and maybe even great-grands? Ralph and I were unable to attend either the wake or the funeral, and we would like you to know that we would have been there, if we could have. We were really sorry to learn of Joyce's passing, but then, happy, that she is now safely and lovingly in our Father's arms in heaven with her daughter, Cathy. My cousin Joyce and I were the same age and always enjoyed going out dancing together. Of course, I danced longer than she did, because I didn't marry before I found the love of my life when I was almost 24 years old. Some of my most fondest memories are from the times I went over to their house in the country during summer vacation. I also served as one of Joyce' maids in Joyce's and Paul's wedding. Joyce and Paul even traveled from Texas to our son's wedding in Jeanerette, LA in 1996. We had so much fun that day watching Joyce's Cathy and Betty's Dwayne dancing that day. Oh, how those two (now deceased) loved to dance! It made a great day for all of us. It was one day I will always cherish, among lots of others! To the entire family, we would like to express our sympathy for the loss of Joyce, and we hope that God will bless you and help you be in peace during this time of sorrow. Mary Jane and Ralph Pichoff in New Iberia, LA.

From Me

September 26, 2011

God looked around his garden,
And He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this Earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.

He knew you were suffering.
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never,
Get well on Earth again.

He saw that the road was getting rough,
And the hills were hard to climb,
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, "Peace by Thine."

It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

I was very saddened to hear of Mrs. Thibodeaux passing last week. My heart and prayers go out to Scotty, Ernest, Randy, Mr. Thibodeaux and the entire extended family. I have nothing but fond memories of Mrs. Thibodeaux. When I was growing up with Scotty, she was always one of my favorite mothers' to be around. She had a great sense of humor and she worked tirelessly for her family. And you can bet, if while I was over at the Thibodeaux house and I smelled gumbo in the kitchen, I was making excuses to stay over a little longer. She's certainly to be missed and our world is less of a place without her in it. Rest In Peace Mrs. Thibodeaux.
