Juan Jose Hernandez Miranda

Juan Hernandez, 50, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026, in Webster, Texas.

Born on February 17, 1976, in Managua, Nicaragua, Juan was the beloved son of Rosa Argentina Villareyna. He was a man known for his hard-headed determination, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to his family. Juan faced life with strength, persistence, and a spirit that never gave up. Those who knew him will always remember his stubborn determination, his strong personality, and the love he had for the people closest to him. Juan had a passion for cooking, painting, and working with his hands, always taking pride in creating, repairing, and helping others. He was a devoted sports fan, especially of the Dallas Cowboys and Michael Jordan. He also had a deep love for music and enjoyed DC and Marvel comics and superhero movies, with Batman as his favorite. But above all of his interests and passions, nothing meant more to Juan than his family. Juan was a proud and loving father. His children were his greatest pride and joy. He was also a loving grandfather, and his grandchildren brought him endless happiness and countless cherished memories.

Juan is survived by his mother, Rosa Villareyna; his sisters, Jessica Villareyna, Sara Villareyna, and Rosa Villarreyna; his brothers, Carlos Hernandez and David Villareyna (Alma); Rachel Valma, with whom he shared 28 years of life; his children, Dakota Ward (Dulce), Jovanii Hernandez (Andrea), Jasmine Hernandez, Juliana Hernandez (Marcos), and Jeremiah Hernandez; his grandchildren, Emery Ward, Creed Ward, Elli-Jean Ward, Journee Hernandez, and Jovii Hernandez; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who loved him and will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his uncles, Mario Hernandez, Jamie Hernandez, and Antonio Hernandez; his aunt, Violet Castillo; his grandmother, Daysi Miranda; and his grandfather, Hermogenes Hernandez.

Juan's family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. The good times and the difficult times, the laughter, the lessons, the conversations, and the moments that helped shape their lives. His presence, laughter, strength, stubborn determination, and love will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Although his absence leaves an unimaginable void, Juan's love and memory will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, mother, siblings, extended family, and friends. The lessons he taught, the life he lived, and the memories he created will remain with them forever. Juan may no longer be here in person, but he will never truly be gone. He will continue to live on in every story told, every memory shared, every family gathering, and in the hearts of all who loved him. Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.

Visitation and Celebration of life for Juan will be Friday, September 4, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 2:30 PM. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
