Juan was a man of unwavering determination and resilience—someone who never gave up and never took "no" for an answer. Known for his strong will and big heart, he devoted his life to his family, always putting others before himself. Whether offering a helping hand or a warm plate of food, Juan’s generosity touched the lives of many.
He was a proud father and a loving grandfather affectionately known as "Welo" by his grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. His passion for cooking brought his family together, especially over his signature dish—barbacoa—which became a treasured tradition in their home.
Juan cherished every moment spent with his family, and Thanksgiving held a special place in his heart because it meant everyone would be together. In his younger years, he created lasting memories traveling to Mexico for New Year's celebrations, staying close to his roots and honoring his heritage. Mexico, his first home, always held a special place in his heart.
Juan is survived by his wife Eduarda Aguilar, sons: Juan Martinez Jr., and Johnathan Aguilar, daughter: Rosaria Martinez: daughter-in-law: Blanca; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brother Armando Martinez and a host of extended family and friends who will continue to honor his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Martinez Regalado and Francisca Sandoval; his brother Jose Martinez; and his sisters Vanessa Martinez and Celene Covarrubia.
