

LeRoy C. Hotchkiss, Jr., 89, of Livingston, Texas passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at the Medical Center of SETX in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born on October 21, 1923 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Myrtle and LeRoy Case Hotchkiss, Sr.
He served in the US Army during WWII in the Philippines, Guadamola and Solimon Islands. He married Leonora Chatagnier in May of 1946 in Port Arthur. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines, lawn mowers, weed eaters, hunting and fishing, but most of his free time was spent watching old westerns. He was a retired pipefitter for Gulfport Shipyard.
LeRoy is preceded in death by his wife, Leonora Hotchkiss; his parents; a son, LeRoy Case Hotchkiss III and a brother, William D. Hotchkiss.
His survivors include four children, Cheryl Cleland, Donna Barras, Susan Thompson and husband James, John Hotchkiss all of Port Arthur; 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
A gathering of his family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel with burial immediately following in Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Hotchkiss, Jason Hotchkiss, Steven Thompson, James Thompson, Jr., Kurt Smith and Aron Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be James Barras and Kody Smith.
