Such a great loss in the hearts of many children. My daughter was very upset to hear of his passing. He always had a t-shirt for whatever event the school was doing and I think he enjoyed the dress up days just as much as the kids enjoyed seeing him. Prayers sent to his family and loved ones.

Louis began working at West Groves Education Center. He was such a kind good man and always went out of his way to help me with anything! I truly appreciated Louis and send my prayers and heartfelt sympathy to the family! He rests Now free from pain and in the arms of God and His Angels. I also worked a couple years with his son Brandon at Groves Elementary!

What a wonderful and kind man! He was always there to help anyone. I first met Louis through Groves E. He made such an impression on the kids and adults. PTA moms were always appreciative of him for never giving it a second thought if we needed help with anything! My family grew to love him and no matter where we went and would see him He never failed to shake my husbands hand or give a true hug to me or my girls. I enjoyed watching him and his lovely wife or daughters dance at the pecan festival to some cajun music he can sure cut a rug. My daughter had seen him recently at the hospital and had I known he had wanted me to bring him some cookies I sure would have!!! Louis is definitely dancing with Jesus and made his mark here on Earth! Fly high my friend you are cancer free. Much love Eddie Tammy Haley and Rheagan

I think everyone who met Mr. Devillier loved him! I met him through working with PTA at my children’s school. Both of my daughters went to Groves’s Elementary where he worked. Every time I brought anything to the school for luncheons etc, Mr. Devillier always made it a point to help me carry everything, and help in any other way he could. When I would eat lunch with my girls I always noticed how much he loved the kids, whether it was giving them a high five or helping them open a drink. He was part of what made that school special. Every year I looked forward to seeing him and telling him hi as I dropped my babies off. You could tell he was a genuinely kind and good person, and I know he will he missed for sure! I hope his family knows how well liked he was and what an impact kindness like his can make on children in a community.

My dear cousin-n-law you and Pat were the first ones to take me bowling and watched me drop the ball and it rolled backwards instead !Skating too, but I don’t remember how that went, I must have fallen quite a few times ! I remember you and Pat’s wedding how I was such in awe of the love I could see between y’all , my beautiful cousin was marrying her Prince Charming . Thank you for being in our family’s life and giving us the sweetest cousins we could have. Fly high Louis and give all our loved ones hugs. Till we meet again , I Love You !
