Luis Magana Cardenas

Luis Magana Cardenas, 52, of Port Arthur, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011, in Orange County. He was born on April 4, 1959 in Cotija De La Paz, Michoacán, Mexico to Rafael and Esperanza Magana. He was a resident of Port Arthur for the past 30 years. Luis was a devoted father to his family, a trusted friend, and a lover of the land and animals. Luis was known to many as a friend who always gave a helping hand and always wore a smile. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday September 10, 2011. At St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4600 Proctor St., Port Arthur, with a Christian burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, under the direction of Grammier-Oberle Funeral home, 4841 39th St., Port Arthur.

A Gathering of his Family and Friends will be Friday, September 09, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Grammier- Oberle Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Magana of Port Arthur, 3 sons, Luis Antonio Magana, Andres Magana and Angel Magana; 1 daughter, Maritza Magana; 6 brothers, Rafael Magana, Francisco Magana, Adan Magana, Ricardo Magana, Jose De Jesus Magana and Sergio Magana; 6 sisters, Esperanza Magana, Imelda Magana, Maria De Los Angeles Magana, Leticia Magana, Veronica Magana and Maria Delma Magana.
