Martha Ann LaLonde

Martha was born on September 14, 1946, to Bonnie Goodwin Fischer and George Lester Burt Fischer, Sr. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family dearly. She was a member of the Lutheran Faith. Martha loved to cook, fish, go crabbing, and feed the ducks and anything to do with the outdoors. She loved “to shoot some bingo’s”, card games and crossword puzzles. Martha mostly enjoyed being with her family and anything that involved family events. She was a friend to many people and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Cory LaLonde and his wife Janice of Port Neches, Lori Smith and her husband Jeff of Nederland and Christi Von Berg of Woodville; grandchildren, Lauryn Smith, Jenna Smith, Layton Von Berg, Brendan Von Berg, Lance LaLonde and Allison LaLonde; great grandson, Asher Von Berg. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Lester Burt Fischer, Jr. and sister, Bonita J. Fischer.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2020, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Layton Von Berg, Brendan Von Berg, Lance LaLonde, Jeff Smith, Phil LaLonde and Josh Sheppard.

The family would like to give a “special thank you” to Phil LaLonde who always gave his love and support.
