

Ouida Vincent, 87, of Port Arthur, Texas, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at Cypress Glen Nursing Home in Port Arthur. She was born on July 23, 1925 to Theopha and Elizabeth Hebert in Kaplan, Louisiana.
Ouida married Raouel Vincent on May 24, 1945 in Kaplan, LA and they moved to Groves in 1949 where they made their home. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and was involved with the Altar Society. She was a wonderful seamstress, loved cooking, cleaning and playing pokeno with her group; however, her greatest love and passion were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raouel Vincent; parents; 2 brothers, Adlar Hebert and Adles Hebert.
Her survivors include her two daughters, Carol Breaux and husband Ronald of Groves, Janice Kopps and husband Greg of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Lindsey and Patrick Kopps, Teresa Salsbury, Amy Ducote, Katie Gerdin, Sarah Gassen; ten great grandchildren, Benjamin, Bailey and Bradley Bohannon, Ryan and Emmy Ducote, Ally and Evan Gerdin, Ava, Kade and Carter Gassen.
A gathering of her family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel, Port Arthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
