

Robert Joe White, 72, of Port Arthur, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 7, 1939, in Gentry Arkansas, to the late Hugo and Yvonne White. Robert was a self-employed carpenter and was known in the area for his attention to detail and beautiful work. He is described by his family as loving and caring man who always put his family first and was always a help to his friends and community. His family will miss all the stories that he passed down to the younger generation. Robert will be missed by many.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elsa, nephew, Marcelino Moreno and grandson, Juan Valentin Briseno.
Robert is survived by his sons, Jose Daniel Resendiz, Timothy White, Jose Angel Resendiz, Robert White, Jose Hugo White, Jose Luis White; daughters, Maria Guadalupe Gallego and Maria Esmeralda Briseno; 38 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a special recognition to Isidro Cuellar, Julian Moreno, Robert Cuellar and Alex Cuellar, Robert always loved and cared for them as his own children.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, Port Arthur. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
