Roland was born on October 25, 1934 in Port Acres, TX to Nicholas Ledet and Leonie Maturin, he is survived by his children Leona Roberts of Port Acres, TX, Leanna Ledet of Beaumont, TX and Eustac Ledet (wife Krystal) of Bridge City. Sister Ruth Licatino of Port Acres, TX. Grandchildren, Carla Tyson, Valerie Landry, Dalton Landry, Dana Roberts, P.J. Porter, Dwayne Porter, Jacob Robles, Demetria Moss, Travis Ledet, Kaitlyn Ledet, Brandon Thibodeaux, Eustac Ledet, II., Krystony MIller, Darryl Miller, Waylon Ledet, Koltyn Ledet, Chaztyn Ledet, Charlee Roberts, Roland Faulk; 42 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He was so happy to have five generations and family was everything to him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Ann Ledet, his sons, Roland Ledet, Jr. “Bo” and Leo Ledet, his daughter Christina Landry, son in law Calvin Landry, his sister Ruth Huckaby and his granddaughter Raquel Ledet.
He was a member of Little Flower Catholic church in Port Acres, TX.
Roland retired from Sears in 1991 as Computer Technician. He owned his family business Cajun Village grocery in Nederland. His specialty was his boudain.
He was also a Hall of Fame legend in Cajun music industry and a member of the CFMA with many accomplishments and awards including:

Roland played a variety of instruments from cajun accordion, fiddle, bass but his favorite to play was his 1953 Gibson guitar given to him by his father. Known for his rhythm guitar and outstanding voice, he played in many cajun bands over the years including, Rambling Aces, Joe Bonsall and the Orange Playboys, Allen Thiboudeaux and the French Ramblers, Jerry Bellot and the Cajun friends, Jude Moreau and Bon Temps playboys, Phil Menard and the Louisiana Travelers, Sonny Aucoin Chipoque, and formed his family band, Cajun Harmony that was originated in 1989
He also was an avid Ham radio operator, many things heard by his children was “K5EUO” his call sign and he made many friends over the years.
