Rose was a retired Sea Steward with Sabine Towing. She enjoyed sewing and baking and was very creative.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, McKinley Darrington, Joseph Kemp, Jr. and a sister, Mackie Darrington.
Her survivors include her daughter, Cheralynne Darrington Bernard of Port Arthur; two brothers, John Wilbert Darrington, James Lee Darrington; two sisters, Linda Darrington, Willie Mae Darrington; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, 27, 2012 at her daughter’s home for close family and friends.
