

Ruby was born in Deweyville, Texas and grew up in Orange, Texas. After WW II she ran a government housing project in Orange. She married Desmond E. Zoch in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was a secretary for many years for an insurance co in Port Arthur, Texas. Her hobbies included making quilts for the Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Arthur.
She is survived by two sons, George A. Zoch and wife Linda of New Braunfels and David R. Zoch and wife Susan of Clarksville, Maryland; three granddaughters, Dana E. Zoch of Austin, Erin D. Zoch of Austin and Lisa Zoch of Clarksville, Maryland and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers include Morris T. Lee, Dow Wynn III, Mike G. Owens, Mike Anderson and Mark Honea.
Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, followed by visitation on Monday at the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas. The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the charity of one’s choice.
