Russell was born on December 18, 1952, in New Iberia, Louisiana to Isabelle “Belle” Dugas Breaux and Russell Joseph Breaux, Sr. He had lived in Port Arthur all of his life and was a self-employed trucker for various companies. Russell was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves and the Knights of Columbus Council #3491 in Groves. He was a regular at the Waffle House on Twin City Highway in Port Arthur; he also loved to fish and spending time with his family.
Russell is survived by his wife Janice Ames Breaux of Port Arthur; daughter, Tiffany Bloxom of College Station, Texas and now stationed in Iraq; brother, Steven Wayne Breaux of Groves; Aunts, Uncles and Cousins throughout the area who loved him dearly.
A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves with Msgr. Kenneth Greig serving as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
