He was born on August 6, 1950, in Church Point, Louisiana to Eva Mae Lavergne Ryder and Stafford J. Ryder, Sr. Stafford had lived in the Orange/Bridge City and Port Arthur area for over thirty years and was a retired paint inspector for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved his grandkids and family dearly. Stafford loved life and all of his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Survivors include his sons, Brett Ryder and his wife Paula of Port Neches and Brock Ryder and his wife Angela of Orange; sisters, Brenda Edwards and her husband Ernie of Bridge City, Lazella Ann Donnelly of Pearl River, Louisiana; grandchildren, Haden, Haley, Hope, Dylan, Reesie, Broxton and Shelbi. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stafford J. Ryder, Sr. and Eva Mae Ryder; his son, Brent Ryder who passed away on May 19, 2017.
A visitation will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with a Chapel Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
