Suzanne Caillier Vaughn Morris

She was born on August 12,1928 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to her parents, Edith Hebert Caillier & Faustin “Mim” Caillier. Suzanne was a lifelong resident of Groves … 70 years living on Bryan Avenue. She moved to Port Arthur in 1947 to work at Texas Company … Texaco Island. After marrying her husband Camay in 1949 she became a housewife and mother raising two daughters. She passed on what would have been Camay’s 100th birthday. She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 42 years Clarence “Camay” Vaughn; great-granddaughter Mollie Caroline Walker of Pearland, TX; brother Alton Caillier of Breaux Bridge, LA; and sister Lillian Cormier of Parks, LA and second husband of 26 years Venix “VJ” Morris.

Suzanne is survived by her daughters Lorraine Vaughn Michalk and husband Ronald Michalk of Groves; and Gloria Vaughn Walker and husband David Walker of Bolivar Peninsula & Keller, TX; her seven grandchildren Chad Michalk and wife Tonya of Lumberton; Jason Michalk and wife Keely of Nederland; Adrienne Walker Taylor and husband Justin of North Richland Hills, TX; Damian Walker and wife Meredith of Pearland, TX; Kevin Michalk and wife Kelli of Port Neches; twins Sarah Michalk Gorman and husband Chris of Groves; Kayla Michalk Meyer and husband Scott of Groves; nineteen great-grandchildren Madelyn and Abilgail McCullough; Lilly Michalk; Weston, Avery Lynn, Autumn, and Isaac Taylor; Marin and Dominick Walker; Kaden, McKenna and Kohen Michalk; Jadyn, Wesley, Wyatt, Jameson Gorman; Jackson, Waylon and Colton Meyer; and her sister Anne Fowler of Belle Chase along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Suzanne had a good full life. She loved to sew, bowl, cook, dance and play chicken foot. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

The family will recieve friends for Suzanne will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A rosary will occur Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception - St. Peter the Apostile Church will occur Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM. She'll be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
