Tam Tran, age 75, of Groves, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. She was born on October 10, 1950, and lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family and community.
Tam was preceded in death by her beloved husband, The Nguyen, and her cherished son, Do Nguyen. Though her heart carried these losses, she continued to give love freely and abundantly to those around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Lisa Nguyen; Kayla Nguyen and her husband, Andy Dang; and Cathy Tran and her husband, Thuan Tran, and her daughter-in-law: Chin Pham. Tam also leaves behind a legacy of love through her fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride and joy of her life.
Tam was known for her gentle spirit and big heart. She was very loving and sweet, always finding happiness in caring for others. She especially loved to cook and feed people, believing that food was one of the purest ways to show love. Her door and her heart were always open, and she never hesitated to help others, often expecting nothing in return. She was deeply loved by her children, grandchildren, extended family, and many friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and generosity.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, located at 4841 39th Street, Port Arthur, Texas 77642, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A Buddhist Cremation Ceremony honoring Tam’s life will be conducted at Memorial Crematory, located at 1810 West 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana, on Monday, December 29, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Tam Tran’s loving spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Her legacy of compassion, selflessness, and devotion to family will continue to inspire generations to come.
