Teresa Gomez Garcia, age 83, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 in Port Arthur, TX. Teresa was born August 7, 1938 in Taquiscuareo, Michoacán, Mexico. Teresa was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael Gomez and Juana Zavala; siblings, Raul Francisco, Zenaida and Elias; a son Javier Garcia and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Yolanda Chavez, Beatriz Sanchez, Luis Garcia, Lucina Garcia, Estela Garcia Franco, Maria Elena Sanchez, Antonio Garcia Gomez, Horacio Garcia and Maria Lopez and her five siblings. She also leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for a wake service on Thursday from 5:00 - 8:00pm at
Grammier Oberle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will at 2:00pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
