Theodora Nell Vance

Theodora was born on July 21, 1943, in Port Arthur, Texas to Anna Nell Babin Vance and Theodore Vance. She had lived in Port Arthur all of her life and was a graduate of Bishop Byrne High School and a nurses aid for Park Place Hospital and the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Theodora was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves and loved the Astros, Cowboys, traveling and fishing but mostly loved her family.

A gathering of friends and family will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with a Mass of Christian Burial to be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves with Msgr. Kenneth Greig serving as the Celebrant. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

Survivors include her sisters, Joyce Tynan of Humble, Connie Coignet and husband Al of San Antonio, Peggy Gautreaux of Navasota and Patricia Vance of Port Arthur; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, James William Vance.
