

Trella Darby, 79, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010, at her residence. Trella was born April 8, 1931, in Port Arthur, Texas to Cliff & Regina Trahan and has lived in Port Arthur most of her life. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Aurora Sertoma Club and had lived in Bridge City from 1968 to 1992.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim “Poochie” Darby; son, Bart Darby and wife Laura of Kingwood; daughters, Claire Thomason and husband Larry of Port Arthur and Leslie Brayton and husband James of Bridge City; grandchildren, Daryl Darby, Michele Hedrick, Tyler Gorrell and Adam Gorrell and great grandchildren, Kaelie Darby and Paige Watson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
