Vernice Lee Boatright

Vernice Lee Boatright Wyble, 90, of Friendswood, Texas, formerly of Port Arthur, passed away on Friday, December 02, 2011 at Friendswood Arms Convalescent Center. Vernice was born December 23, 1920, in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Sully and Ethel Wyble. She was a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Pearland, Texas.

Vernice could best be described as a helpful outgoing person who loved to be around people. She was a loving sister, mother and grandmother to her family.

Vernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Donald Raymond Wilkins.

Vernice is survived by her sister, Virginia Vittingl of Pearland; daughter, Eileen Darbonne of Friendswood; nephew Randy Walker and wife Ellen of Lafayette, La.; grandson, Christopher Darbonne of Friendswood; granddaughters, Jennifer Martin and her husband Eddie of Pearland; and Margie Darbonne, great grandchildren, Abigail Martin and Ryan Martin of Pearland.

A gathering of her family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Grammier – Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday December 3, 2011, at Grammier- Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
