Not only was Vickie a Good Friend of mine, she was honest, true, fair, funny, outspoken and the closes person that I have ever considered to be a True Friend. We may not have talked often, but when we did it was a long, funny  and interesting conversation. I will miss her. Just knowing that I can't call her.

On behalf of the Asbury family, I would like to extend our sympathy to the Naville family.  I grew up living next door to the Naville family.  Vickie was a sweet charming person, who always had a pleasant smile.   She had charisma. She will certainly be missed.  Our prayers are with you.

Vickie is also my first cousin.  Cheryl Pierce is my sister.  I remember Auntie Goldie, and  Vickie visiting us in 1979.  The time of Disco and  Charlie's Angels.  We took Vickie to Hampton Beach.  the Tramps were playing at the Hampton Beach Casino. Remember John Travolta in Saturday night fever "Disco inferno " that was the Tramps song.  They stayed at the same motel. Cheryl, Vickie and I  posed as Charlie's Angels. .Vickie's eyes were shut!  Vickie was fun to be with. Devron you were the light of your mother's heart. Hopefully we will meet one day.   Ask your Uncle Darryl about your mother's super b.

Vickie and I were first cousins.  Our mothers were sisters - my mother was Alma Pierce. I grew up in NH, so I've only seen Vickie on a few occasions; however, she left an indelible memory on my heart and mind. I will miss her infectious laugh, her southern belle accent, especially when she would say "heavens."  She had a way of brightening your day regardless of what she was going through.  She had a positive outlook throughout her illness.  She told me that she never asked God, "why me," she would just ask "o.k., what's next."  She was an inspiration to me and those around her.  She was not only beautiful, but also very talented.  When she and her mother came to NH many years ago to visit, she showed us how to make macrame plant hangers.  She could decorate beautiful cakes and also build her own kitchen cabinets with an electric saw.  She obviously inherited our grandfather's carpentry skills.  She adored her son, Devron -- "he was her heart."  The last time I saw Devron, he was about 2 years old, and his grandmother, Goldie, was picking the raisins out of his cereal for him. That's love!  I hope to meet you again one day, Devron.  Vickie and I loved to talk about how close we were to our beloved mothers.  My only consolation is that she is resting, pain-free, in her mother's arms with her beloved dog, Zeuss, by her side.  She used to laugh about how Zeuss would cover his ears when she sang!  My heartfelt sympathies to Devron, Darryl and the rest of the family.  I wish I could be there in person with you all; however, I will be with you in my thoughts and prayers.  Devron, remember that "Death can never separate those who are bound together by the ties of pure love."  

Vickie and I did not know each other but we knew of each other through my dear friend and her cousin, Ellen Sheehan.  She seemed to be such a beautiful person, both inside and out, and someone I would have liked to have known better.  I send my sincerest condolences to her family as well as my thoughts and prayers.  I'm so very sorry for your loss.

So sorry for the loss of Vickie.  She was my rock, and I will miss her cheerful voice!  Please give her a kiss from me. She survived a lot of years with the love of God and is a super saint.  Love you both.
