

Winnie Mae Landry, 88, of Groves, TX, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 18, 1923 to Gerard and Edna Arpin in Riceville, LA.
Winnie was a resident of Groves for 69 years after moving here from Abbeville, LA and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Noe Landry; her nurturing parents; nine beloved siblings and one precious granddaughter.
Her survivors include a son, Rodney Landry and wife Ava of Beaumont; two daughters, Gerry Sheffield and husband Lanis of Port Neches, Betty Mallet of Spring; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. in the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel, Port Arthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 a.m, Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with interment immediately following in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Altar Society of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 4100 Lincoln, Groves, TX 77619.
