He is survived by his sons, Chuong Nguyen, Tam Nguyen, and James Nguyen, who were the pride of his life. Xuyen is also survived by his brother, Sanh Nguyen; his sisters, Tan Thi Nguyen, Loi Nguyen, and Lien Thi Nguyen; and his grandsons, Ethan Nguyen and Jackson Nguyen, who brought him immense happiness.
Xuyen was preceded in death by his parents, Thich Nguyen and Han Thi Nguyen.
Known for his love of the outdoors, Xuyen enjoyed spending his time fishing and crabbing, simple pastimes that connected him with nature and brought him peace. He was also fond of karaoke, where his love for music allowed him to express himself and share good times with friends and family.
A gathering of family and friends to honor Xuyen’s life will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home, 4841 39th Street, Port Arthur, TX 77642. A Catholic funeral mass will be held to celebrate Xuyen's life at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1115 Orange Ave, Beaumont, TX 77701. Following the mass, Xuyen will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3900 Twin City Highway, Groves, TX, with the burial service occurring from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Xuyen will be remembered for his simple, yet fulfilling life, his love for his family, and the joy he found in the little things. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, who will miss him dearly.
