Daniel F. Morgan

Danny was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who will be remembered for the memories he created and the lives he touched. He spent many years working as an oil burner mechanic, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and willingness to help others. He was not known for his punctuality, but he never claimed to be.

Outside of work, Danny found peace on the water. An avid fisherman, he spent countless hours at Cold Spring Harbor, a place that brought him happiness and comfort. Whether he was casting a line or simply enjoying the quiet moments by the water, Cold Spring Harbor held a special place in his heart and became a place filled with many meaningful memories. It only makes sense for it to be his final resting place.

Danny was married to Monique. Although their marriage eventually ended, they remained friends and continued to care for and respect one another throughout the years.

Danny was incredibly proud of his children and the people they became. He was especially proud of his son, Ken, for becoming a police officer, and he admired his daughter, Geneva, for her work as a Substance Use Disorder counselor and her dedication to helping others through their struggles.

Danny is survived by his son, Ken, and his fiancée, Cassidy; his daughter, Geneva, and her husband, Bryan; and his cherished grandchildren, Indigo (7), Ezra (6), Harper (4).

He is also survived by his brothers, Tom Morgan and Jim Morgan; and his nieces, Diana and her wife, Sam, Laurie and her husband, Bob, and Christie and her fiancé, Anthony. Danny has special relationships with his nieces and adored their partners, but especially adored their dogs. Danny is also survived by many friends, including Tommy and Janet Igoe and Joe Kelly, who could always be counted on to make the drive out to visit with Danny in his final years.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanne (2012) and Eugene (2021), and his grandson, Owen (2023).

In accordance with Danny’s wishes, his ashes will be spread at Cold Spring Harbor on August 3, 2026, returning him to the place that brought him so much joy and peace.

Danny will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the memories created, and the lives he touched. Our hope is that his memory will live on with every fish caught, 7-11 coffee drank, and lotto card purchased.
