Genoveva was the beloved wife of the late Jose Berrios, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. She was a loving and devoted mother to Jose Berrios Jr., and a cherished grandmother to Sabrina Blend and her husband, Alex, and Tatyana Berrios. She was the adored great-grandmother of Rosalie Blend. Genoveva is also survived by her beloved brother, Santo Martinez.
Faith was an important part of Genoveva’s life. She was a deeply faithful woman who trusted in God and always accepted His presence and guidance in her life. Her faith gave her strength and comfort throughout the years.
Above all, Genoveva’s family was her greatest priority. She was a selfless, caring, and devoted woman who found joy in serving and caring for those she loved. Her devotion was especially evident during the ten years she lovingly cared for her husband, Jose, throughout his illness. Her compassion, strength, and unwavering love were a beautiful testament to the kind of woman she was.
Genoveva will be remembered for her deep faith, generous spirit, loving heart, and devotion to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
Closing words by the funeral director will be offered on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 10:30 AM, followed by committal services and interment at Washington Memorial Park, 855 Canal Road, Mount Sinai, NY 11766.
