George was the beloved husband of 44 years to Janet A. DeAngelis. He was the loving and devoted father of Jessica DeAngelis (Kyle Ebinger) and Jillian DeAngelis (Stephen Boyle), and the dear brother of Christine DeAngelis.
George retired from the New York State District Court, where he served as a Court Clerk. After retirement, he dedicated himself to his greatest role of all—being a devoted father. He stayed home to care for his daughters and proudly became their “Mr. Mom.” He was deeply involved in their lives and sports, even coaching their softball teams. His commitment to his children and community also led him to serve as PTA President.
George and Janet shared a wonderful life together and especially enjoyed traveling. George had many passions and talents, including golfing, cooking, smoking meats, and hosting memorable pig roasts for family and friends. He loved being on the water, enjoyed recreationally flying small planes, and cherished his animals—Charlie, his beloved rescue mix; Luna, his pitbull; and his cats, Jack and Ruger.
George also gave generously of his time and energy to his Florida community, serving as a board member of his HOA for 12 years and as its president. He was a natural leader who cared deeply about the people and communities around him.
Above all, George will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, loyal brother, caring friend, and a man who took great pride in his family.
