Marie Catherine Griffin

Marie was born on March 18, 1940 to Mary Ellen Donovan and Cornelius Donovan. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Thomas T. Griffin; her children, Thomas Griffin, Kelly Griffin Buffalino, and Patrick Griffin; and her eight cherished grandchildren.

Marie was passionate about her plants and spent many happy hours tending to them. One of her favorite pastimes was "digging in the dirt". She loved cooking and took great joy in feeding others, whether it was family gathered around her table or the birds and squirrels that visited her yard. She also enjoyed reading, and Marie would never pass up a piece of rare meat or a glass of cold beer. May she rest in peace and dance in the heavens.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 2pm - 4pm and 7pm - 9pm at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Prayer service on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 11am. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
