Theresa Rose Davis Cohen of Manorville, NY, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in the loving embrace of her family. She was born on September 8, 1947, in Portsmouth, VA, and lived a life defined by deep love, devotion, and an unwavering commitment to family.
Theresa was the beloved wife of 40 years to Melvin M. Cohen. Their love story began in 8th grade, a youthful connection that would later blossom into a lifelong partnership when they reconnected years later and married. Together, they built a life rooted in love, mutual respect, and the joy of simply being together.
She was the loving mother of Danielle Guinan and the late Kristin Guinan, a devoted and nurturing presence in their lives. Theresa was a cherished grandmother to Kacie Canillas (Edward), Joshua Pesce, and Aiden Pesce, and an adoring great-grandmother to Mia and Ella, who brought her so much joy.
Theresa was a dear sister to Loretta, Betty, Jimmy and the late George, and a treasured friend to many. Her home was always open, her kitchen always warm — and her famous meatloaf will live on in the memories of all who were lucky enough to enjoy it.
For Theresa, everything centered around family. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with those she loved, and she will be remembered for the warmth, strength, and unconditional love she gave so freely.
