

She was born in Philadelphia, PA and lived in Port Saint Lucie for 16 years, coming from Jupiter, FL and Delano, NJ.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St Lucie where she was active with The Council of Catholic Women and Grief Support. She was also active in the Deborah Hospital Foundation, the Irish American Club, and the Savannah Club’s Women’s Club. She was also a member of the “Red Hat Society”
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Bartels and her husband Dave of West Palm Beach, FL, her sons Francis Gruber and his with Brenda of Jupiter, FL and Mike Gruber of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, her sister, Bette Halloran, grandchildren, Kim, Roy, Brian, Chris, Michael, Katie, Brittany and Chelsea and great-grandchild, Cameron.
She is predeceased by her husband Frank Gruber, and her brother Joe Walsh.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday March 22, 2011. Visitation will be on Monday, March 21 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with a prayer service at 5:30 at the Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie. Interment will be at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, FL.
