Anne Catherine Canning

Anne Catherine Canning passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023. She was born in West Orange, NJ on March 2, 1942 to Austin and Anna Regan, immigrants from Ireland. Anne attended West Orange High School and was the top twirler at her high school and a pillar of her community. She was adored by all her classmates and everyone that knew her. After high school, she worked for an advertising agency as a secretary. She married in 1964 to the love of her life and shortly moved to Long Island, NY. After raising her children, she began a successful business in court reporting stenography.

She is survived by her beloved husband, David of 59 years, her three children, David (Paula), Mark (Amy), Tara (Gregg) and her four grandchildren – Samantha, Emily, Daniel and Brian and sister Peg. She was a shining light in everyone’s eyes. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, knitting and always a helping hand as a volunteer within the various communities she lived in.

A funeral service for Anne will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2330 SE Mariposa Avenue, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34952.
