Anne Sabine—affectionately known to so many as “Mimi”—passed away peacefully on the 13th of September. For 60 years, she shared a love story with her husband, Vinny Sabine. Her love language was always feeding the people she cared about, and nothing brought her more joy than filling her kitchen with the aroma of her famous italian sauce and baked pignoli cookies at Christmas. When she wasn't cooking, in her younger days you could usually find her by the water with my day doing what she loved most: enjoying the shore, casting a line and fishing or crabbing.
In her later years, Anne faced heartbreaking Alzheimer’s disease. While the illness may have stolen her memories, it could never dim the love she had for her family or the impact she left on our hearts. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Vinny, her parents, Madeline (Nano) and Vincent Raccio and so many of her dear friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, and traditions that her daughter Kim and husband Gary, along with her cherished grandson Eric Nels and his wife Elizabeth, will carry forward forever. She will be missed beyond words.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to support an Alzheimer’s association in Mimi's name.
