Betty Joan Henderson

She was born September 16, 1944 to Ward and Eunice Byrd. In 1962, Betty began her career as an operator at Southern Bell and graduated from Englewood High School. In 1989 she retired from AT&T in Atlanta, GA with 27 years of service. She then pursued her love of real estate and obtained her real estate license in Jacksonville, FL.

Betty Joan was a true gift from God and will be deeply missed by her friends and family. Her strong faith will live on through those she left behind.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 22 years, Thomas C. Henderson; her siblings, Ward Byrd, Jr., Shirley Falis, Kathleen Cook; daughters, Gina Lynn Crosswhite and Angela Kaye Izaguirre; her five grandchildren; seven nephews and three nieces.

A Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 10, 2013, 1:30PM at the Greenlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery Chapel, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL, with burial following.
