Bruce and I became instant friends as I was dating his niece, who has now been my wife for 44 years. Our mutual past in the Navy was the first link of friendship, which was deepened every time we met from then on. I never met a person who was more loyal to his family and honest to his convictions. He is one of my favorite people ever. I will always miss him.

I just want to say Thank You. Thank You for your wonderful son, making him into the man he is today. For the values you have taught him, For the charm, for the confidence in himself, for teaching him that family is the most important thing. Thank you for loving my daughter as much as I do. For being her favorite person to beat in air hockey, for being the only one able to put her to sleep when she's wild, for sneaking candy together. Thank you for the memories you gave her to carry on. She's going to miss you so much. For there will never be another person like you. Thank You, Rest well.

My favorite memory~ Christmas morning two years past, the family arrived at Edie's and Bruce's for christmas brunch. Bruce did not want to join the family for breakfast as he only wanted to eat chocolate donuts. But we corraled him to the table, next to Aria, who was told she could not open presents until she ate all her breakfast. So at this point, they were both pouting. Bruce reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of M&Ms and proceeded to mix them into his eggs. Aria's jaw hit the floor, she could not stop staring at him all through breakfast, and of course in typical 4 year old fashion asked why she didnt get any candy for her eggs. It made the morning. It will be one of those memories I will have forever.

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
