

Charles was born to Charles W Heinold Sr and Agnes Koegel Heinold on April 2nd 1938 in East Keansburg, New Jersey. From the start, Charles loved the beach and enjoyed model railroading with his Dad. He graduated from Leonardo High School in 1955. He played various sports in school and lettered in bowling. He continued to bowl throughout his adult life encouraging his children to bowl as well.
In 1959, Charlie married Anna Mae McMullan in Hoboken, NJ. They had two children, Charles Gerard in 1962 and Mary Eileen in 1965. In 1969, Charlie moved his family to Port St Lucie where he continued to live until his passing.
In the 70’s Charlie was active in the Optimist Club of Port St Lucie. He helped to establish youth sports in the early days including Little League baseball and Pop Warner football. He coached in both sports. In 1975, Charlie was named Optimist of the Year!
Charlie earned his Contractor License in the early 80’s. He was a skilled carpenter and built houses for many years until he retired at 65. Charlie became a member of the Moose Lodge in 1990 until present time.
Aside from model railroading, his hobbies were camping when his family was young, playing cards and board games and he really loved cruising. That enjoyment was shared with those that loved him.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Anna Mae who passed away February 19, 1999; his sister, Eileen Eurek as well as many of his in-laws.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles Gerard Heinold (fiancé Lisa Whipple) of Fort Pierce, FL and daughter, Mary E Guinn (husband Edward) of Cleveland GA; step-grandchildren Jennifer Farrar, Stacy Abbott (husband Keith) and Edward Guinn Jr; 7 step-great grandchildren; significant other, Consuelo Causby; sister-in-law, Kathleen Guinnessey of NJ and cousin Audrey Maddi (husband Nelson) of MA as well as numerous other family and friends that have wonderful memories of Charlie.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987, where a celebration of life will follow from 2:30 to 3 p.m., and a reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m.
